About this game

Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.

How to Play

Shift your pieces according to their individual movement rules. The Commander can only move one square at a time within the nine-pointed star. Mandarins must stay within diagonal moves within the palace. Bishops move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot move to the opponent's side. Knights move one square straight and then one square diagonally, but can be blocked by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, serving as powerful attackers. Cannons move like chariots but must require a screen piece to capture exactly one piece. Pawns move forward one square and gain new movement after crossing the river. Take the opponent's general to win the game. Think ahead your moves carefully to checkmate the computer opponent.
